Home Builders & Remodelers in Water Valley, MS
Twenty minutes south of our Oxford shop, Water Valley has the oldest housing stock in our service area — and the renovation work that comes with it.
Water Valley is a railroad town, and its houses show it: late-1800s and early-1900s construction on Main Street and the blocks around it, built with materials and methods you do not see in new work. Renovating them well means knowing what to keep. Original heart pine, transom windows, and twelve-foot ceilings are the reason people buy these houses, and they are the first things a careless remodel destroys.
That older stock also brings the problems older stock brings — pier-and-beam foundations that have settled, knob-and-tube that was never fully replaced, additions from the 1970s that were framed badly and have been leaking ever since. We handle the structural and mechanical work first and the finishes second, because the reverse is how people end up remodeling the same room twice.
Yalobusha County land outside town is a different job entirely: ground-up custom homes with room to spread out, at a land cost that has not caught up to Lafayette County. We clear, grade, and build, and Water Valley is close enough to Oxford that our crews are not paying for the drive.

Frequently asked
Do you take on old houses, or only new construction?
Both, and older homes are a large share of what we do in Water Valley. We start with a structural and mechanical assessment before any finish work is scoped, so the budget reflects what the house actually needs.
Is Water Valley far enough from Oxford to change the price?
No. Water Valley is about twenty minutes from our Oxford shop, which is inside our normal range. You get the same crew, the same project manager, and the same schedule commitments as an in-town Oxford build.
